On the 17th December, the final lecture of the 3-CFU course entitled “Technologies for Volcanic Hazards” was held. The course was offered to Master’s students enrolled in the degree program "Automation Engineering and Control of Complex Systems".
The course involved several researchers from the INGV, providing students with a strongly interdisciplinary training experience. The main topics covered included petrology, satellite monitoring, physico-mathematical modeling, volcanology, spectroscopy, and the use of drone-based technologies for volcanic observation. A key element of the course was the students’ direct involvement in monitoring activities, allowing them to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scientific and technological challenges related to volcanic hazards.
