Last week, two members of TechnoLab had a truly special experience by taking part in the Convective and Volcanic Clouds detection, monitoring and modeling School (CVC Training School) link here.

It was a unique opportunity to meet experts and young researchers from all over the world, sharing ideas, knowledge, and curiosity about the study of convective and volcanic clouds: how they form, how they are monitored, and how they are simulated in scientific models.

But it wasn’t only about science! The school also offered unforgettable moments, such as the excursion to the island of Vulcano. The team climbed to the top of the steaming crater, experiencing firsthand the thrill of observing such a fascinating and fragile natural environment.

Another highlight was the visit to the INGV Info Point, where they learned more about the history and volcanic activity of the island through clear and engaging explanations. Even more exciting was the chance to look through a telescope pointed directly at the fumarolic area, making the connection between theory and reality tangible.

For TechnoLab, it was a valuable opportunity to grow, learn, and bring back fresh ideas—together with the memory of an adventure that will last for a long time.
